Born at Huddesfield England, Congregational. Enlisted 19th November 1914, age 30, clerk. Nok wife, May Appleyard, Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1915 per A11 Ascanius. Wanstead London. Sailed from Australia 9 June 1915. Served in France with 28th Bn. In October 1918, while in England, he suffered from the influenza epidemic. RTA August 1918. He was residing in Carnarvon in 1937. Service medals: 1914-1918 Star, BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
