Born at the Upper Blackwood, WA, CoE. Enlisted 21 February 1916, age 21 farmer. Nok mother, Elizabeth Asplin of Badgebup via Katanning WA. Sailed from Fremantle 17 April 1916 per A60 Aeneas. He served in France and suffered wounds to his hands September 1916. RTA 1918. Service medals: BWM and VM. Edward Asplin’s brother.
