Born at Prahran Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 4th August 1915 age 29, blacksmith. Nok father, Thomas Baron cnr Marmion and Lomas Sts, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 13 October 1915 per A32 Themistocles. Wounded in France 29 July 1916. Returned to France in October 1917 and gas wounded 30 October 1917. Returned to France in July 1918 and wounded in action 29 August 1918. RTA February 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
