Born at Wagga Wagga, NSW, CoE. Enlisted 6 August 1915 age 23, loco fireman. Nok mother, Mrs W. M. Brown of Isidore St, North Fremantle. (Isidore and Isadore are not on modern Metro road guides) Embarked at Fremantle 2 November 1915 per A38 Ulysses. Served in France 1916-1918 and was accidentally wounded to the hand 26 June 1916 and injured again 10 March 1918 by running into a cart in the dark. RTA May 1919 per China. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
