Born at Timaru New Zealand, RC. Enlisted 25 September 1914 age 33, labourer. Nok father, Peter Carr c/- Mrs Ryan, Napier St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 22 February 1915 per A50 Itonus. Was at Gallipoli 28 April 1915. Served in France where on 21 September 1917 he was wounded in an arm and thigh. Wounded again in France 3 June 1918. RTA in December 1918. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Honour Roll Ancient Order of Druids Acorn Lodge 463 Cottesloe.
