Born at South Melbourne, Victoria, RC. Enlisted 27 August 1915 age 38, mill foreman. Nok wife, Catharine Cosgriff of Dwellingup. His address in service file, dated 11 October 1924, was Ecclesborne St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 18 January 1916 per A7 Medic. Wounded in the left hand in France on 28 July 1916. RTA September 1917 and discharged 24 November 1917. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
