Cox, John Branch

Born at Mt Torrens, Sth Aust. CoE. Enlisted 15 March 1916 age 44, miner. His Nok and address changed several times. Mary Cox, his wife, was at Horgan St, Mosman Park and later cnr Lochee St and York Tce, Mosman Park. Embarked at Melbourne 30 September 1916 per A23 Suffolk. Wounded to wrist and hand in France 8 July 1917. John Cox was admitted hospital with bronchitis and pleurisy on 18 October 1918 and died 3 November 1918 at the 53rd General Hospital Boulogne and was buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France. Service medals: BWM and VM.
