Born at Fremantle, WA, CoE. Enlisted 5 May 1917 age 20, clerk. Nok father, Alexander Watt Cruickshank of Brae Lassie (or Lossie), Victoria Ave, Claremont. Embarked at Sydney on 30 April 1918 per SS Port Darwin. Served France 1918 and RTA May 1919 for discharge on 28 June 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
