Born at Melbourne, Victoria, RC. Enlisted 11 June 1915 age 28, tramway employee. Nok wife, Ellen Cruickshank of 28 Suffolk St, Fremantle. Embarked at Fremantle 22 July 1915 per A67 Orsova. Served in France and wounded in the head serving Belgium on 22 September 1917. RTA January 1919 and discharged 25 April 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
