Born at Bunbury, WA, Presbyterian. Enlisted 18 June 1917 age 21, clerk. Nok father, Thomas Currie of Albert St, Claremont. Embarked at Melbourne 30 October 1917 per A60 Aeneas. Served in England 1917, France 1918. In September 1918 he was gassed and RTA December 1918. He was a member of the 1932-33 Cottesloe RSL Cricket Team. Service medals: BWM, and VM.
