Born at Newcastle, NSW, RC. Enlisted 24 January 16 age 30, cook. Nok wife, Ethel May Flanagan, Alexandra Rd, Fremantle, WA. He was accidentally killed at the North Fremantle (Leighton) railway crossing on 4 April 1916. He was not on leave from the camp at the time. Buried in Church of England section of the Fremantle Cemetery. Despite his death on home territory and without overseas service, his wife received a memorial scroll and memorial plaque. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
