Born at Ballarat, Victoria, RC. Enlisted 8 January 1916 age 26, mill hand of Jarrahdale WA. Nok wife, Olive Katherine Fleming originally of West Guildford and later at Newcastle St, Perth. Embarked at Fremantle 6 June 1916 per A29 Suevic. Served in France 1916-1919 and suffered a wound to the shoulder 10 July 1917. RTA June 1919 per Somali. Service medals: BWM and VM. In a letter of 27 October 1924, Percy Fleming requested his medals be forwarded to him at 243 Marmion St, Cottesloe.
