Born at Mauritius, India (sic), CoE. Enlisted 7 May 1917 age 44, civil servant. Nok daughter, Mary Forbes c/o her brother, R. S. Forbes of Cottesloe then changed to c/o R. S. Forbes, Bindaring Parade, Claremont. Embarked at Sydney 1 August 1917 per A7 Medic. Served in England 1917. Diagnosed with premature senility and chronic bronchitis and RTA February 1918 per SS Balmoral Castle. British War Medal only. An item in The West Australian 29 November 1915 re petition for divorce gives his occupation as Clerk of Courts, Boulder. His funeral notice Daily News 27 April 1926 described him as Clerk of Courts, York. Note: puzzling relationships between the three Forbes, Arthur, Reginald and Sydney.
