Born at Norwood, Sth. Aust. CoE. Enlisted 24 June 1915 age 21, clerk. Nok father, Thomas John Foster of Keane St, Peppermint Grove. Embarked at Fremantle 1 October 1915 per A20 Hororata. Served in Egypt 1916, France 1916-1917 and was wounded in the foot in France 29 July 1916 and a second wound to his arm and shoulder in France 5 May 1917 resulted in his RTA in July 1917 per A61 Kanowna. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
