Born at Ongar Essex England, Wesleyan. Enlisted 25 May 1915 age 18, warehouse assistant. Nok father, Frank Benjamin Gadsdon and mother Mary Gertrude Gadsdon of 397 Bagot Rd, Subiaco. Seriously wounded at Gallipoli. RTA October 1915 and discharged medical grounds on 23 June 1916. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Mayor of Cottesloe 1945-1961.
