Born at Busselton, WA. CoE. Enlisted 27 October 1914 age 27, station hand. Nok mother, Mrs A. Gardiner, Carnarvon, WA. then Salvado St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 8 February 1915 per A47 Mashobra. Wounded at Gallipoli 7 September 1915 and in France on 29 July 1918. RTA 14 December 1918 per Burmah and discharged 23 March 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
