Born at Liverpool England, RC. Enlisted 7 December 1917 age 29, labourer. Gave his address as Cantonment St, Fremantle and as his Nok parents, Robert and Catherine Harrison of 88 Tillard St, Kirkdale, Liverpool, England. Embarked at Albany on 8 May 1918 per Port Darwin. Soon after arrival in Suez, he was hospitalised with leukaemia and transferred to the UK where he was declared permanently unfit for general service and temporarily unfit for home service. He was granted leave for the period 14-28 December 1918 but failed to report and was declared by Court of Enquiry on 26 February 1919 as illegally absent and discharged for desertion on 1 April 1920. Not eligible for medals because of his desertion.
