Born on 12 October 1900 at South Perth, WA, CoE. Enlisted 4 September 1917 giving his age as 21, farmer. Gave his address as Dandaragan WA and that of Nok mother, Mary Ellen Hawley as Napier St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Melbourne on 30 October 1917 per A60 Aeneas. Did not serve in a war zone because he found to be under age and RTA in September 1918 for discharge on 15 November 1918. Service medal: BWM.
