Born at Bunbury on the 21 July 1899, C of E and possibly a pupil at Cottesloe School (being the only person of this name and initial enlisting in WA). Enlisted 24 September 1918 age 19, apprentice moulder at the Midland Junction Railway Worksop. Nok father, John Thomas Hilton on North St, Midland Junction. Robert Hilton did not leave Australia. The war ended on 11th November and he was discharged on 24 December 1918. RSL Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
