Born in London, England and enlisted at Perth on 5 July 1915 age 25. Parents, John and Lucy Kamman and his wife, Alma Daisy Kamman resided at the corner of Palmerston and Glyde Sts. Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 13 October 1915 A32 Themistocles to join the British Expeditionary Force in the Middle East. In France he was assigned to the 4th Australian Division Signal Corp and confirmed killed in action 11 April 1917. Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM. Alma Kamman received a war widow’s pension of 40 shilling per fortnight. Her address in 1921 was Broome St, Cottesloe.
