Born Waterloo Sydney NSW CofE. Enlisted 14 March 1917 age 24. Nok parents James and Constance Lane, Walter Street, Claremont. Schooled in Claremont and trained at Perth Public Hospital. Embarked Fremantle 30 March 1917 per Kanowna. Served in Egypt and promoted to Sister on 23 March 1919. RTA 22 Dec 1919 per Themistocles. Service medals: BWM, VM. Upon her return she worked as a nursing educator at Fremantle Hospital. On 22 Mar 1928 she married Alexander Roderick Vincent Mackay at St John’s Church, Fremantle. They had two children, Rod (currently living in Melbourne and Janice, deceased) and later resided at 4 Parry Street, Claremont. She died on 14 April 1962 age 70, and was buried at Fremantle Cemetery.
