Born at Mt Malcolm, WA. CoE. Enlisted 14 July 1917 age 18, farmhand. His father was in the Navy Corps abroad so he gave his Nok as mother, Mrs Louisa McKinnon of 134 Sewell St, East Fremantle. Embarked at Melbourne 30 October 1917 per Aeneas. Served in France in 1918. RTA March 1919 per A14 Euripides. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
