Born at Castlemaine Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 6 May 1915 age 32, tailor. Nok wife, Ellen Theresa Mudge, Forrest St, Cottesloe. Promoted to 2nd Lieut and killed in action in France July 19 1916. Buried at Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle d’ Armentieres, France, 1.5 miles South of Armentieres. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM.
