Born at Sittingbourne Kent UK, CoE. Enlisted 18 January 1915 age 19, farm labourer. Nok father, Henry Pashby, 41 Cowper Rd, Sittingbourne Kent and a brother, Sidney Edward Ashby was at Katanning. Embarked at Melbourne 14 April 1915 per A15 Star of England. Served at Gallipoli and France. RTA per Somali June 1919. In later years resided at Railway St, Cottesloe. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
