Born at Charters Towers Qld. Church of Christ. Enlisted 22 March 1916 age 25, chauffeur. Nok (father dead) mother, Jane Donovan (2nd marriage) of Barrabin WA. Embarked at Fremantle 17 April 1916 per A60 Aeneas. Served in England and France. RTA per Lancashire February 1919. Discharged at Perth on 8 May 1919. In 1944 he was living at 170 Paddington St, Paddington NSW. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls. Died in Sydney on the 8th November 1953. This is the only recorded soldier Paulig with the initials W.O.
