Born at Footscray Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 13 October 1915 age 21, tailor. Nok mother, 245 Barker St, Subiaco and later (1917) at Sans Lome, Eric St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 January 1916 per A54 Runic. Served in the Middle East and then in France 1917-1918. RTA April 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
