Wounded in action in France on 29 April 1918 and on a second occasion gas wounded on 7 October 1918. RTA A64 Demosthenes January 1919. File has a letter from William’s mother dated 30 October 1918 giving her address as 73 Ocean Road, Cottesloe Beach, and there is a letter of enquiry from a Miss J Wigmore, School-house, Beaconsfield, Fremantle, dated 20th May 1918.
