Born Moulamein, NSW, CoE. Enlisted 28 May 1917 age 27, horse driver. Nok wife, Laurena Christina Schmidt, cnr Keane St, and Lochee St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle on 17 September 1917 per A55 Kyarra for Suez. Hospitalised in 1918 with bronchial influenza. RTA August 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
