Born at NSW, RC. Enlisted 13/19 July 1915 age 24, clerk. Nok wife, Nellie See, 34 8th Ave, Maylands. Embarked at Fremantle per A30 Borda on 17 January 1916. Served in France and RTA per Somali June 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. Herbert later resided at Brighton St, Cottesloe and the Secretary of the Cottesloe RSL 1941-1943.
