Born at Broken Hill, NSW, Methodist. Enlisted 6 March 1916 age 20, labourer. Nok father, Isaac Skipworth, Victoria St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked Fremantle 7 August 1916 per A28 Miltiades. While in France he was reported missing on 11 April 1917 and later confirmed as a prisoner of the Germans. His brief note from the POW camp to his mother that he was short of food and clothing is on file. RTA 3 March 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
