Born at East Perth, WA. RC. Enlisted 21 May 1916 age 18, electrician. Nok mother, Mary Ann Strapp of Cremorne Hotel, Coolgardie, WA and son of James Strapp 3448. Embarked at Fremantle 30 October 1916 per A16 Port Melbourne. Gunshot wound to the arm in France on 4 October 1917. RTA January 1919 per A35 Berrima. Service medals: BWM and VM.
