Born at Fremantle, WA, Congregational. Enlisted 25 August 1916 age 29, clerk. Nok wife, Joan Emily Thomas, 64 Heytesbury Rd, Subiaco. Embarked at Fremantle 30 October 1916 per A16 Port Melbourne. Served in France and then Belgium where he was wounded in action on 18 September 1917. RTA 15 February 1918 per Llanstephan Castle. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
