Born at Perth, Congregational. Enlisted 23 November 1915 age 18, printer. Nok parents, Robert Samuel and Sara Wade, corner of Broome and John Sts, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 17 January 1916 per A30 Borda. Recorded at Tel-el-Kebir, Alexandria and Marseilles in 1916. In France, he spent much of his time in hospital with illnesses including influenza. RTA June 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. May be linked to the Ocean Beach (29) Troop Boy Scouts Honour Roll.
