Born Stawell, Victoria, Presbyterian. Enlisted 11th September 1914 and took the oath 16 October 1914, age 29 (or 30) clerk. Nok father, David Hunter White of John St, North Fremantle and later at Ballarat Victoria. Embarked at Melbourne 22 December 1914 per A40 Ceramic. At Gallipoli, Thomas was severely wounded to the lower body on 2 May 1915 and transferred to the General Army Hospital at Alexandria where he died 15 May 1915. Buried Chatby War Memorial Cemetery, Plot L Grave 177 Alexandria. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
