Born at Fremantle, CoE. Enlisted 14 September 1915 age 24, tinsmith. Nok wife, Susan Winter, Orlando St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 17 January 1916 per A30 Borda. Seriously ill for several months with influenza and pneumonia and returned to Australia on 24 June 1916 and discharged 28 February 1917. Service medals: maybe 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
