Born at St Arnaud, Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 26 August 1915 age 33, storekeeper. He gave his address as Bullfinch and Nok mother, Mrs Elizabeth Sanderson of Coonover Bridge, St Arnaud, Victoria. Embarked at Fremantle 17 January 1916 per A30 Borda. Served in France 1916-1919 and was wounded, gas poisoning 20 March 1918. RTA February 1919 per A68 Anchises. Service medals: BWM and VM.
