Born at Quindalup, WA, CoE. Enlisted (on service record) 14th May 1915 age 19, unemployed. Nok mother Mrs R. Yelverton of Busselton and later at the corner of Napier and Marmion Sts, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1916 per A11 Ascanius. In France on 7 May 1917 he suffered a slight wound to the chin. RTA April 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. Brother of Henry Yelverton and Hilton Yelverton*. Nephew of Hugh Russell *.
