Born at Adelaide, CoE. Enlisted 20 July 1915 age 26, farmer. Nok mother, Lucy Sarah Allen care of Mrs Bedells Ocean Rd, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Adelaide 18 November 1915 A 2 Geelong. and in France in 1916. Returned to England with trench feet and hospitalised. Rejoined his unit in May 1918. RTA April 1919 and discharged 18 July 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
