Born at Cottesloe in 1895, parents deceased and he was residing with his step-mother, Dora Janet Robertson of Branchal, Johnston St, Peppermint Grove. Andreas enlisted on 15 May 1916, university student, and embarked at Fremantle 30 October 1916. He died in France of gunshot wounds on 12 May 1917 and was buried at Favreuil British Cemetery, France (originally at Vaux Main Dressing Station about 2 kilometres NE of Bapaume). Although he named his stepmother as his Nok he willed his possessions to his sister Dora Elizabeth Andreas. His total effects were two echelons 3643 and 4648, a ring, metal pendant, wallet, letters and photos. Service medals: BWM and VM.
