Born at Albany WA, CoE. Enlisted 15 January 1915 age 23, fireman. Nok (unstated relationship) Y. Baker of Boreham St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle per A8 Argyllshire and served at Gallipoli and spent much of 1915 hospitalised in England. In France, he was shot in head and left leg on the 20 September 1917. RTA September 1918. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
