Born at Fremantle, CoE. Enlisted 5 August 1918 age 19, motor driver. Nok mother, Katherine Mary Barton-Fulcher, Keane St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle per A36 Boonah 29 October 1918. The ship was recalled after arriving at Durban in South Africa and as many as possible were off-loaded at Woodman Point, south of Fremantle, for quarantine checks. While loading at Durban, members of the crew and military were infected by the Spanish Flu that was killing millions world-wide. Medal entitlement uncertain.
