Served in England at Rollestone, Tidworth. Admitted to Military Hospital, Tidworth 2 June 1916 suffering from rheumatism. RTA via New Zealand per Pakeha 14 October 1917 suffering tachycardia (over 100 heartbeats per minute). Discharged 2 November 1917. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
