Born at Yass NSW, CoE. Enlisted 22 February 1916 age 38, labourer. Nok Mrs Constance Frestrait 169 Hopkins St, Boulder. Embarked at Fremantle 18 July 1916 per A48 Seang Bee. Served in England and in France where he was wounded in action 2 April 1917 and rejoined his Unit in July that year. RTA per Bremen, June 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. Brown’s address in 1922 and in 1955 was 49 North St, Cottesloe.
