Born at Lincoln, England. CoE. Enlisted 9 July 1915 age 35, dairy hand. Nok wife, Elizabeth Brown, Broome St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Adelaide 18 November 1915 per A2 Geelong. Served in Middle East and France where he was wounded in action 4 June 1917. RTA 24 May 1919 per Wyreema. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
