Born Perth WA CoE. Served in the South Africa Boer War. Enlisted 15 June 1915 age 39, brick maker. Nok mother, Mary Anne Burrows, Ninth Ave, Maylands. Embarked at Fremantle 2 September 1915 per A68 Anchises. Served at Gallipoli and France. Wounded in action in France 22/25 July 1916 and again 6 May 1917. RTA Per A35 Berrima 22 December 1917 and medically discharged on the 13 March 1918. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
