Born at Geraldton, WA, CoE. Enlisted 4 February 1915 age 20, jeweller. Nok mother, Margaret Carter Blencoe St, Leederville. Embarked at Fremantle 22 February 1915 per A50 Itonus. Gunshot wound to the abdomen at Gallipoli 4 May 1915 and died of wounds aboard the Hospital Ship Gascon. Memorialised on Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 52. On 25 April 1915 he wrote and signed his will. ‘In the event of my death I give the whole of my property and effects to my mother, Margaret Carter, 59 Blencoe St, Leederville, Perth, West Australia.
