Born at Braughing, Hertfordshire England, CoE. Enlisted 5 July 1916 age 21, farmhand. Nok father, John Blythe Clark of Hope St, Cottesloe and later at The Hut, Wellington St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 26 February 1917 per RMS Morea. Served in the Middle East in 1918. RTA in November 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
