Born at Rawalpindi, India, CoE. Enlisted 28 June 1915, age 23, motor mechanic. Nok father, Colonel H W Clayton c/- London. Embarked at Fremantle 2 September 1915 per A68 Anchises. Unclear if he actually served anywhere, just hospital admissions. RTA March 1916 and received a medical discharge on 10 August 1916. He married Olive Mary Clayton-Bridges nee Grose at Perth on 8 August 1916 and her address was Hawardon, Keane St, Cottesloe when he re-enlisted 10 August 1916 under the same name and birth details and giving his occupation as clerk. He did not go overseas and was discharged on 17 November 1916. On the very same day, possibly at a different recruiting station, he enlisted a third time as Frederick Clayton-Bridges 6981 Pte. His age is now 25 and his occupation is a boundary rider. Nok is his wife, Olive Mary Clayton-Bridges at Hawardon (or Hawaydon), Keane St, Cottesloe. He embarked at Fremantle 23 December 1916 per A35 Berrima and served only in England. He was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment with hard labour however, due to pulmonary tuberculosis, he was RTA and discharged 11 September 1918. In such circumstances medals are forfeited.
