Born at Coolgardie, WA, Wesleyan. Enlisted 29 February 1916 age 18, clerk. Nok father, James Mayne Craze of 10 Hanover St, Nth Perth. Embarked at Fremantle 17 April 1916 per A60 Aeneas. In France on 3 May 1917 wounded in the right leg and left arm. RTA November 1917 for discharge on 4 May 1918. On 14 July 1919 Cpl J. K. Craze was at No 8 Aust. General Hospital, Fremantle WA. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
