Born at Hartley Vale, NSW, CoE. Enlisted 23 July 1915 age 22, coal miner. Nok mother, Elizabeth Johnston of Throssell St, Collie, WA. Embarked at Fremantle 4 October 1915 per A20 Hororata. Wounded in France on 7 August 1916. RTA February 1919 for discharge on 3 June 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. This is the only J. A. Crocker from WA. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
